Chocolate & Wine Pairing
Perugina Bittersweet Chocolate, needs to be paired with stronger red wines with concentrated fruit notes. Bittersweet chocolate decreases the astringency and dryness of the wine and mellows it out. Red Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Port (Ruby and Tawny) bring out the natural fruit (cherry), earthy and bitter chocolate flavors, respectively. An adventurous taster can try Beaujolais, Bordelaise or Orange Muscat.
